Valois" thesis prize Young researchers
Valois" thesis prize Young researchers
The "Valois " Young Researchers Thesis Prize, created in 2017, recognizes doctoral theses for their quality, originality and essential contribution to the cultural policies of the Ministry of Culture.
Its aim is to encourage researchers in their work on all fields of cultural policies and the institutions that carry them out. In return, this work, through its publication, will be brought to the attention of society and inform public decision-making. Whatever the disciplines and cultural fields: heritage, creation, media and cultural industries, or the languages of France, research will focus on all aspects of these public policies: institutions, professions, socio-economics of culture, etc.
.
Research will shed light on ministerial policies over the long term. It will address issues of access to culture, the transmission of knowledge and social cohesion, and will situate cultural policies in the context of all public policies aimed at regional development, including a comparative dimension.
The research will be carried out in the context of the French Ministry of Culture.
The prize, under the aegis of the Comité d'histoire du ministère de la Culture, will be awarded to three theses dealing with cultural policies defined in this way. The seven-member jury, appointed by the president of the Comité d'histoire, is responsible for the selection of the winners.
